Admission & Entry Requirements
Mountview is committed to offering training to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. To reflect this our admissions policy does not focus on only academic qualifications and entry is by audition and interview. The process is designed to investigate a candidate’s current and potential abilities and their suitability for a career in the profession.

How to Apply
Auditions and interviews for full-time courses are held throughout the year, they are open to students who will normally be 18 years or over (BA Courses) or 21 plus (Postgraduate courses) at the time of course entry.

BA (Hons) Acting and Musical Theatre Courses and Postgraduate Courses
Please apply directly to Mountview - there is an application form enclosed with a prospectus.

Deadline for BA (Hons) applications is 1st March

Deadline for Postgraduate applications is 30th June

BA (Hons) Technical Theatre
Applications MUST be made via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Applications should be made between 1 September and 15 January, although late applications may be submitted up to the end of June, however we cannot guarantee an interview or audition for late applicants. All applications should be made online through UCAS apply on www.ucas.ac.uk. UCAS charge a £15.00 administration fee.

BA (Honours) Courses
For admission to BA (Hons) courses Mountview normally requires the following standard qualifications:

• Five GCE/GCSE passes, including two at A-Level
• Four GCE/GCSE passes including three at A-Level
• Four passes in the SCE Higher Grade examinations
• BTEC National or Higher National Certificate or Diploma with merit grades in at least three second or third year modules
• Other qualifications recognised by the validating University

If you do not meet these requirements you should not be deterred from applying. The Academy recognises that talent/skill cannot always be measured by conventional academic achievement and we welcome applications from people (particularly mature applicants) without standard entry qualifications.

Postgraduate Courses
Applications for all Postgraduate Courses should be made directly to Mountview – there is an application form enclosed with a prospectus.

While audition/interview is the primary means of determining the applicant’s suitability for entry, Mountview will normally require one of the following additional qualifications:

• A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies or a related subject
• A degree in another subject, plus drama experience
• Drama school diploma or similar qualification
• Another qualification recognised by the University of East Anglia
• Appropriate prior experience

Acting & Musical Theatre Auditions
You will be sent full details of our audition and interview requirements when we receive your application form.

Acting option: you are required to learn and present two pieces taken from plays and you will also take part in improvisation and voice sessions.

Musical Theatre option: you require two pieces from plays plus two contrasting songs and you will also take part in a dance workshop.

Candidates are normally adv
