Production Arts

At Mountview the Production Arts Department offers a superb and stimulating training in technical theatre, which replicates the intensity of the theatre industry. Courses are delivered in a highly supportive
environment by a team of theatre practitioners and visiting freelance industry professionals. Emphasis is placed upon both creative and
technical ability in order to fully equip graduates with transferable skills in all disciplines.

This unique two year technical theatre degree programme (validated by Middlesex University) provides core skills within the key disciplines of Stage Management, Scenic Construction, Lighting, Sound and Theatre Design. Year two explores theory with theatre practice for live
performance.

Teaching is delivered through a variety of methods: lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials. Students are assessed throughout practical coursework  and year two show roles.
