Glynis Barber
Glynis moved from her native South Africa to London to train at Mountview, graduating in 1977.
She soon established herself working in television and theatre including the RSC. Her big break came when she was cast in the major British/American co-production of Dempsey and Makepeace, playing Makepeace. The series was a worldwide hit.
Many other credits followed including starring as Mrs. Robinson in the West End production of The Graduate. She starred in the television series¹ Night and Day, Emmerdale and The Royal and has made many guest appearances in TV shows including Trial and Retribution and New Tricks. Most recently she has been causing havoc on Albert Square as Glenda Mitchell in EastEnders.
