Hobson's Prize

After a successful pilot year in 2008, The Hobson’s Prize was open to all 22 members of the Conference of Drama Schools for 2009.

The objective of this new award is to discover new actors with a natural, distinctive voice quality and an aptitude for voice-over work;
 to encourage actors to learn and appreciate the skills involved in all areas of voice-over work;
 to further promote the introduction of microphone and voice-over technique as part of an actor’s study and to promote voice-over work as a creative skill.

The 2009 winner of the Hobson Prize was Mountview’s Stephanie Donaghue.
