Mountview Returns to Hornsey Town Hall for Christmas
Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts is delighted to be presenting a programmeof carols and festive music in front of Hornsey Town Hall on Friday 9December at 6.00pm.
Mountview is one of the UK's leading drama schools and has been based inHaringey for over 60 years, first in Crouch Hill and then in Wood Green, aspart of the Cultural Quarter. This year Mountview's students will be joinedby children from its Saturday workshops drawn from across the Borough.
In April 2011, Mountview welcomed the decision by Haringey Council to backplans for it to move to a new home in the Hornsey Town Hall in 2014. Thiswill place the Academy at the heart of Crouch End from where it will expandits already successful programme of community engagement, reaching out toall parts of the locality.
Sue Robertson, Principal at Mountview said, 'We are thrilled to be able topresent a Christmas Carol Concert at Hornsey Town Hall this year, markingour journey back to Crouch End'.
Rob Archibald, Head of Singing, said 'We have a wonderful programme with amix of old favourites and fresh arrangements being performed by our studentswith plenty of opportunity for the public to join in. The students andchildren are looking forward to the concert enormously and we are sureeveryone will have a great time'.
On this occasion Mountview will be collecting for the Tottenham Fund and theMayor's Special Fund. The event itself is free and everyone is welcome tothis festive celebration that will kick off the Christmas season.
