Acting Programme
Comprehensive actor training at its best...
The Acting Programme currently consists of five courses: Three Year BA (Hons) in Performance/National Diploma in Professional Acting, one year MA in Performance, one year Postgraduate Diploma/National Certificate, a one year MA in Theatre Directing and a one year Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Directing.
Mountview's courses are delivered in a highly supportive environment by staff who are experts in their field and who aim to produce actors and directors with the potential to be regularly employed in a varied industry. During training students will continually come into contact with numerous practitioners, all keen to pass on their wealth of experience, knowledge and advice.
Acting is a complex human activity and the process of performance requires actors to employ their total human resources in the preparation of communication of a role. Mountview continually strives to ensure students have a complete understanding of what is required to enjoy and sustain a career in what can be an unpredictable business.
Mountview's courses are designed to develop skills in class and performance, and to enhance imagination and passion and fully prepare students for a career in television, theatre, radio and other media.
Constant attendance at all timetabled classes, rehearsals, seminars and other events is a requirement of the course.
Studying acting or directing at Mountview is hard work but great fun and a totally enlightening journey.
