Admissions Policy
Mountview is committed to offering training to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Entry is by audition and interview and our admissions policy does not focus only on academic qualifications. The process is designed to investigate a candidate's current and potential abilities, and their suitability for a career in the profession.
Auditions and interviews for full-time courses are held throughout the year. They are open to students who will be 18 years or over (Undergraduate Courses) or 21 plus (Postgraduate Courses) at the time of course entry.
Equality Of Opportunity
Mountview is committed to a comprehensive policy of equal opportunities for students in which individuals are selected and treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities. Mountview has a commitment to a comprehensive policy of equal consideration for all applicants. No applicant will receive less or more favourable treatment on grounds of sex, age, ethnic origin, disability, religion and marital/parental status or any comparable grounds.
English Language Requirements
If an applicant's first language is not English, and they have not been taught in English or studied to A level standard in the UK, they will need to demonstrate an acceptable minimum level of competence through the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Band 6.5).
Overseas Applications And Qualifications
Whenever possible, staff members prefer to audition/interview overseas applicants at Mountview. However the Academy may be prepared to consider a DVD audition for performance candidates and it may be possible to arrange skype interviews for Theatre Arts Production candidates. These arrangements will be provided on request.
Applicants with Disabilities
Mountview welcomes applications from people with disabilities and is keen to support all applicants to achieve their best. If applicants have any special requirements or access needs, these should be discussed with the course manager/administrator.
