1. Do I qualify for UK/EU Fees?

To qualify for UK/EU tuition fees you must have British/EU Nationality (or settled status) and three years residence in the EU prior to the start of the course.

2. What does a Dance and Drama Award cover?

A small percentage of places on the course are supported by Dance and Drama Awards. These awards cover the majority of the fees and are based on Audition Scores. If the student's household income is less than £33,000 then the student is eligible for a maintenance award and for the £1275 contribution to be paid through funding

3. I have a Dance and Drama Award, will I have to pay anything towards fees?

If you get a Dance and Drama Award, it will cover the majority of your tuition fees. However, you will also need to make a personal contribution. For the 2011/12 academic year, this personal contribution is £1,275. The Dance and Drama award is given regardless of your household income, but whether you get additional help depends on your circumstances.

4. Where can I apply for maintenance if I am on a Dance and Drama Award?

You will be sent an application form for Income Assessed Student Support Fund for maintenance from Mountview. You may also apply for a Career Development Loan (subject to credit rating) up to the value of £10,000 for fees and maintenance, for the last two years of your course but please note repayments start two months after you complete your degree. If you are awarded a Dance and Drama Award you must not apply for a student loan.

5. How much funding am I eligible for?

Students from England, Scotland and Wales

If you come from England, Scotland or Wales you may be able to get additional help with living costs and childcare - over and above the Dance and Drama Award.

How much extra you get will depend on your family's annual household income. If your family's income is above £33,000, you will not be entitled to any extra help.
