The Keyboard Lab
Mountview's state-of-the-art Keyboard Lab enables students to learn another invaluable skill as they prepare for an increasingly competitive industry.
The Lab:
- Gives each student the personalised and individual private attention they need, without affecting the work of the rest of the class.
- Allows students to work individually or in groups of 2, 3, 4, or more.
- Allows the tutor to communicate privately to a student, a chosen group or class
- Allows more interesting and practical learning.
- Encourages development of composition and devising.
- Provides 16 keyboards for private work.
Mountview is one of the first drama schools to offer this facility to students, giving them a wonderful opportunity to work with and learn from highly skilled keyboard professionals.
Regardless of someone's keyboard ability on entry, this facility means all students, even a beginner, will leave Mountview with keyboard skills.
The Keyboard Lab has been installed thanks to the generosity of: John Hyatt, Carryl Thomas, the late Peter Coxhead MBE, The Stage Newspaper and Mountview students, staff and friends.
