Production Programme
The Production Department offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Theatre Production Arts.
The department is divided into three main subject areas:
Production and Stage Management,
Lighting / Sound & Digital Production, and
Design & Applied Arts.
Within these main subject areas students can study many specialist subjects – Scenic Construction, Design, Lighting, Sound, Stage Management, Wardrobe, Prop Making, Audio Visual and Scenic Arts are some of the areas covered in the programme.
As well as delivering academic courses, the Production Department is responsible for technically running the production programmes for both the undergraduate and postgraduate season of shows.
Within the public student performance season the Theatre Arts Production, Acting and Musical Theatre students combine all their knowledge and skills as final preparation for their professional careers in the entertainment industries, and in doing so promote their development as reflective, flexible, independent learners with transferable skills.
