This course provides first class training in Theatre Production Arts. The course comprises three terms a year, giving students a faster route into employment or perhaps the opportunity to go on to a specialist postgraduate course or to further training. The course also attracts people either returning to work or deciding to change careers.
This is a unique two year fast track course; students will find that it requires commitment and dedication to their studies. The course is delivered in a highly supportive environment by a team of theatre practitioners and visiting freelance industry professionals. Based in London it makes an ideal place for students to experience this exciting and vibrant Industry.
During Year One students are taught the foundation skills that every successful theatre practitioner requires, providing core skills within key disciplines. Year Two explores theatre practice for live performance which enables students to get industry level training.
The teaching is delivered through a variety of methods: lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials. There are no formal exams; students are assessed through practical coursework and by 'doing the job' in Year Two show roles.
Emphasis is placed upon both creative and technical ability in order to fully equip graduates with transferable skills in all disciplines.
Students who receive a Dance and Drama Award, funded by the Young People’s Learning Agency, will follow and be awarded the Trinity College London National Diploma in Professional Production Skills in addition to the opportunity to complete the BA (Hons) Degree.
