Llŷr is a pianist, vocal coach and MD based in London and Cardiff and holds a BMus from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and a PgDip in Opera Accompaniment at the Wales International Academy of Voice. He has worked as a freelance répétiteur with Welsh National Opera and BBCNOW, and as Opera and Musical Theatre Vocal Coach at WIAV, ArtsEd and the London School of Musical Theatre. He has also worked with an array of distinguished artists such as Sir Bryn Terfel, Dame Kiri te Kanawa and John Owen Jones.
