Mountview is dedicated to feeding the industry with high-quality new writing. Each year our students collaborate with the finest practitioners across the industry to create high-quality pieces of new work.
Over the past two years, three shows commissioned and developed by Mountview have been produced professionally. These included Busters by Olivier-nominated playwright and Mountview Artistic Associate Roy Williams OBE, funded by Arts Council England, and most recently Lockhart, a new musical by Jason Carr and Ashley Robinson, which is now under option to be performed at the Public Theatre in New York in 2018.
Previous projects have included work with Philip Ridley, Tom Morton-Smith, The Martyr (2013) by Rachel Wagstaff and Matt Brind and directed by Steve Marmion at Soho Theatre and Yusupov (2014) by Kit Hesketh-Harvey and James McConnel.
