As President of Mountview it gives me real pleasure to introduce you to this fine Academy which enjoys a worldwide reputation for excellence.

Training is the first step on your stimulating journey to the achievement of your dream of entering a complex and exciting industry. Training is essential so that you can develop not only as an actor but also as an individual. It is hard work and you are going to need dedication, determination and drive.

Of course, there is no easy route to success and there can be no guarantees, but your professional training will prepare you for the start of what I hope will be a long, fulfilling and fruitful career.

Whether you wish to train for acting, musical theatre, directing or the production arts, if you come to Mountview you will attend an Academy where all the staff are dedicated to helping you get the very best out of your training.

Mountview’s Artist Associates are a collection of actors, directors, composers, writers and production artists (many of whom originally trained at Mountview) who support our work and creative vision.

Our Artistic Associates regularly work with students by giving masterclasses, supporting performances or developing new work.

Tom Piper MBE
Olivier Award Winning Designer

Associate Designer at the RSC from 2004 -2014 where work included the Histories season and the design of TOP Theatre. Recent work includes Red Velvet (Tricycle Theatre, New York & West End), Curtain Up exhibition at the V&A and a collaboration with Paul Cummins to create ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’: the fields of poppies which were presented at the Tower of London and then across the UK.
