National Student Survey

This was our third year of participation in the National Student Survey (NSS) and we achieved an overall student satisfaction score of 89%. This puts us in the top 25% of UK higher education providers and in the top four drama schools nationwide in terms of overall student satisfaction. Our response rate this year was 97%, which was a 13% increase from 2018.

The National Student Survey data was published on Wednesday 3rd July 2019 and is publicly available. and is publicly available. The data was gathered from final year students on Mountview’s undergraduate Performance and Theatre Production Arts courses.

Office for Students (OfS)

As a Higher Education provider registered with the Office for Students (OfS) we are required to provide transparency data on specific areas regarding undergraduate applications, offers, acceptances and registrations as well as attainment information.

The information published on these pages shows:

  • The number of applications for admission on to recognised, undergraduate higher education courses that we have received from UK domiciled applicants.
  • The number of offers we have made in relation to those applications.
  • The number of those offers accepted and the number of those who have registered with us.
  • The number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with us.

It also shows these numbers by reference to:

  • The gender of the individuals to which they relate
  • Their ethnicity
  • Their socio-economic background.

It is important to note that the data presented has not been contextualised. This means, for example, that you will not be able to see from this data how many of those applying to courses met the entry criteria. It is also the case that universities and colleges will often receive many more applications than they have spaces on courses and so offer rates will necessarily be lower than application rates in those circumstances.

Ofsted

Students on our undergraduate Performance courses have the opportunity to obtain a Diploma in Professional Acting/Musical Theatre from Trinity College London, one of our Academic Partners. This FE provision means that these courses are subject to inspection by the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted).

Our most recent inspection was in autumn 2015. We were delighted to be deemed an Outstanding provider across all elements of the inspection.

We are 'Outstanding'

The Trustees are immensely proud of what the staff and students at Mountview have achieved this past year, including an 'Outstanding' assessment by Ofsted, and look forward to building on that success.
