Board
Johnson Situ is the Director of the Co-Chairs’ Office & Diplomacy at C40 Cities, a global network of nearly 100 mayors of the world’s leading cities that are united in action to confront the climate crisis.
His role involves leading diplomatic and stakeholder relationships, acting as the focal point on behalf of the co-chairs, including those with the UN Secretary-General (UNSG) and related UN departments.
Previously, he worked in the Mayor of London’s office, where he served as a Senior Adviser to the Mayor of London for Political Affairs. He worked on the Mayor’s political strategy and his relationships with the national government, UK city Mayors and the flagship air quality policy, the expansion of the Ultra-Low Emission Zone.
Before joining City Hall, Johnson Situ was a senior Labour Councillor in Peckham for close to eight years. His Southwark Council Cabinet portfolio included the council’s response to the Climate Emergency, and he led the council’s work to bring the community together through Southwark Stands Together.
Before working in politics, he worked in the international development sector for various organisations, including Comic Relief, the Disasters Emergency Committee, and Room to Read.
