Nick’s work draws on a broad knowledge of English vernacular music, from medieval balladry to music hall songs of the early 20th century. He has worked as an actor musician, played extensively for dance and has released two solo albums of English folk songs.


As a composer and musical director for theatre, he has provided music for shows by Flabbergast and Iris theatre companies, as well as several previous productions at Mountview, often in collaboration with Paul-Ryan Carberry.
