Support Our Work

Mountview is a charity, supporting creative performers, artists and leaders to fulfil their potential. It is essential that we fundraise in order to open up our programmes to people from all financial backgrounds and are grateful to those who have already joined our family of supporters.

From making a donation when purchasing tickets, to supporting our students through a dedicated scholarship, as an individual, Trust and Foundation or through your business, with your help we can engage even more people to explore their creativity.

Supporting Peckham and Beyond

We believe creative learning enriches lives, no matter age or experience. This is why we have an extensive range of evening and weekend classes, giving the whole community opportunities to get involved in creative activities. Our flagship outreach programme is Generation N*xt which offers 6 – 24 year olds classes in dance, drama, singing and much more. We can only make this programme accessible to all through fundraising for bursaries, which are available on over half of all classes. We also work with local schools to offer free, vocational drama workshops and partner with local charities to create bespoke creative programmes, reaching those who may have never considered the performing arts as opportunities for them.

By donating today, you can support us across all of our work in Peckham and beyond.

The UK is second to none when it comes to live theatre and the creative industries. To maintain this position we must invest in the next generation of actors, musical theatre performers, directors and writers. You can do just that today by supporting Mountview

Supporting Mountview's Students

We train over 400 performers, stage managers, technicians and scenic artists, directors, musical directors, creative producers, community educators each year and are committed to training the very best talent from throughout the UK and beyond. We strive to offer scholarships and bursaries to ensure no one misses the opportunity to take up a place due to financial circumstances. We need to dramatically increase the number of scholarships we offer to ensure we support students from a wide range of backgrounds and to secure the future for young people who are currently prevented from training due to socio-economic hardship.

If you would like to find out more about donating a scholarship, please contact Clare McCulloch, Development Manager.

Student Hardship Fund

Mountview is committed to recruiting students regardless of their background or income. Alongside our annual auditions we partner with arts organisations across the UK, forming a national scouting network to offer free auditions to talented candidates who cannot otherwise afford to apply. Once at Mountview, half our undergraduate students receive a bursary and our Student Hardship Fund ensures there is support available for every student who needs it.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The cost of fees, equipment and materials can be prohibitive for students. Donations of any size can help students purchase essential equipment:

£20

could buy a pair of dance shoes for a Musical Theatre student

£100

could contribute towards an Acting student’s library of scripts and text books

£500

could provide a graduating student with professional resources including industry standard audition headshots

Supporting Excellence and Innovation

Mountview is at the forefront of innovative dramatic training. Students often have the opportunity to work on new plays with leading playwrights, such as with Roy Williams OBE, and our postgraduate offer is expanding with pioneering new courses including the MA in Site Specific Theatre and Education and Community. MA Producers and Directors also come together to create the Catalyst Festival, an exciting month of work from the next generation of theatre makers.

With you help we can continue to create innovative workshops, classes and productions for both our students and the community.

To find out more about supporting specific new writing, innovative classes or community engagement projects please contact Clare McCulloch, Development Manager or donate online today.
