Local Community Tours
19 - 19 Feb
If you live in South London and would like to find out more about Mountview and what we offer, we invite you join one of our Local Community Tours. Explore our RIBA London award-winning building and see what it holds, including:
- Two in-house theatres – The Mack and Backstage Theatre
- Dance and performance studios
- Costume and set departments
- Production workshops and facilities, including our Prop-Making and Scenic Art workshops
- Mountview’s archive of 75 years of history
- Three independent café, bar and restaurant options – Skylight, Loading Bar and Westland.
Please note that these tours are designed for the community to find out more about Mountview and not as open day events for prospective students. The tour guides will not be able to answer questions on professional drama training at Mountview.
This tour will include use of stairs over several floors. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need access to the tour by lift.
We will be following COVID-secure practices, and all tour visitors will be expected to wear a mask (unless exempt) and log into the NHS app.
Mountview moved into purpose-built premises in the heart of Peckham in September 2018. As well as our professional Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate drama training, we have a range of activities which are open to the wider public – including our Generation N*xt youth theatre programme for ages 6-24. We also produce over 26 public productions every year, with tickets priced from just £10.
With three independent café, bar and restaurant options within the Mountview building, there’s something for every occasion – whether you’re seeing a show, attending a class or just dropping by to find out what’s on. Skylight Peckham on our rooftop is open for food and drinks with stunning sweeping views across London. On the ground floor our coffee shop Westland is open for tea, coffee, sandwiches and pastries and Loading Bar is a bar with a gaming-influenced twist.
