2018 marks the 30th anniversary of this ground-breaking British play which follows the first group of British convicts transported to the Australian coast in the late 18th Century. Timberlake Wertenbaker explores the brutality of humanity and the transformative power of theatre, as a new British colony is formed.

Steve Grihault is Mountview’s Head of Acting. He originally trained as an actor, and worked for over twenty years with companies including The Young Vic, English Shakespeare Company and Theatr Clwyd. Directing credits at Mountview: A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
