In the Era of Light, Romania lived in the dark. Unravel a true story of resilience through Boy’s letters to his mother, shedding light on the reality of oppression, censorship and military re-education in Communist Romania through the blend of movement, poetry and sound.

Recommended for ages 15+
Strong language, themes of violence, mention of sexual assault, suicide.

About the Producer

As a Slovak-Romanian producer, writer and stand-up comedian, Emma is deeply passionate about new, International, and comedic writing. She aspires to harness the power of technology and multidisciplinary theatre to amplify the overlooked voices, sharing meaningful stories across a global stage. Credits include: Bambulka (University of the Arts), Goodnight, Moon (2024) and Cry Now / Laugh Later (Vaulty Towers).
