Autumn Graduate News

The autumn season has brought with it a flurry of graduate activity, here’s what our alumni have been up to and will be doing soon.

Firstly, an entire festival curated, performed and directed by Mountview graduates. The Maiden Speech Festival ran from the 10th – 21st October at Theatre N16 and was a feminist festival of new writing from emerging female talent.

Mountview has been taking London by storm, in shows including Hair at the Vaults involving Jessie May, Andy Coxon, Laura Johnson and producer Joseph Houston, The Toxic Avenger, worked on by Oscar Conlon-Morrey and ASM Ella Wheway and The Lorax at the Old Vic starring Ellena Vincent and Kirsty Malpass.

Mountview’s reach has also spread way beyond London and even the UK as we have alumni involved with a number of touring productions. Across the UK, Dougie Carter and Carl Sanderson will star in Sunset Boulevard and Sophie Matthew, Matthew McDonald, Lottie Henshall and Musical Director Dustin Conrad are working on Our House. A little further afield, Stuart Matthew Price and Jenny Perry will be doing the time warp in the European tour of The Rocky Horror Show, Scot Armstrong and Costume Designer Stewart Charlesworth are involved with the international tour of The Producers and Emma Kingston is playing the titular role in the international tour of Evita.

Away from the stage and onto the small screen, both Harki Bhambra and Ibinabo Jack will be featuring in the new seasons of Our Girl and Vera respectively. On the bigger screen, Ellie Goffe joins Antonio Banderas in Gun Shy.

There are some pretty exciting projects on the horizon too; kicking off with Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, starring Mina Anwar and Luke Bayer and directed by Jonathan Butterell. At the National Theatre, Douglas Henshall is in Network alongside Bryan Cranston whilst Linford Johnson, Jack North and Jack Wolfe are in Pinocchio.

Finally, we have graduates in a couple of West End concerts. Rebecca Trehearn and Tyrone Huntley join Jon Robyns for Live in London at The Other Palace and Rebecca Trehearn appears again with Jonathan Dudley in The Railway Children in Concert at Cadogan Hall.
