GENERATION NEXT 2024

Welcome to Generation Next

On Saturdays and selected evenings, Generation Next turns Mountview into a learning and social hub for young people aged 6-18 from Peckham, South London and beyond. The current workshops offered include West End Workshop, Acting, Hip-Hop, Ballet and Tae Kwon Do.

At Generation Next, everyone is welcome.

We offer a range of 10-week workshops, giving young people the chance to develop skills, explore their creativity, and connect with each other in a supportive, fun and inspiring environment.

We are based in the heart of Peckham, in an accessible building with purpose-built studios and performance spaces.

Prices start at £6 per class, and to ensure that everyone can access the programme, we offer means-tested bursaries for Southwark residents, with more than half our participants qualifying for support.

FAQs

Do I have to be a Southwark resident to take part?

No, anyone is welcome to attend. However, only Southwark residents are eligible to apply for the bursary scheme.

Who delivers the workshops?

The sessions will be led by the Generation Next team; all industry professionals with experience of, and passion for, working with young people to explore and develop their talents.

Are there auditions?

No. Generation Next is open to everyone. Classes are designed to include introductory basics for young people with no experience, to encourage participants with some experience to develop their skills further, and to allow more practiced participants to devise, rehearse and explore new creative heights.

Will my child need to bring anything?

They should wear comfortable clothing that they can move around in and bring a bottle of water. If attending more than one workshop, or a workshop that lasts longer than an hour, they might want to bring snacks.

Generation Next is generously supported by The Portal Trust.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
