Oskar is a bullied, lonely teenage boy living with his mother on a housing estate at the edge of town. Eli is the teenage girl who has just moved in next door. She doesn’t go to school and never leaves the flat by day. Sensing in each other a kindred spirit, the two become devoted friends.

What Oskar doesn’t know is that Eli has been a teenager for a very, very long time.

Duration: 2 hours, including a 15-minute interval

This production features strobe lighting, strong language, violence and stage blood.

Barry Fitzgerald

Director & Movement Director

Barry is an award-winning interdisciplinary artist and director.

They have worked with companies such as Complicité, Punchdrunk and as OUTBOX Theatre’s associate artist, most recently as Associate Director on GROOVE (Shoreditch Town Hall, Contact Manchester).

Barry has worked with the Almeida, Barbican, Lyric Hammersmith, National Theatre, Royal Court and Unicorn Theatre among others.

Barry’s film work has screened at festivals including Aesthetica, Cork International Film Festival and Galway Film Fleadh, and they are Artist-in-Residence at VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Arts.

Previous directing work at Mountview includes Serious Money and Earthquakes in London.

Alex Musgrave

Lighting Designer

Alex designs lighting for theatre and opera across the UK and Internationally.

Notably Home at Chichester Festival Theatre and The White Factory at Marylebone Theatre.

Alex has been nominated for two Off West End Awards for Best Lighting Design for The White Factory at the Marylebone Theatre and You are Here at the Southwark Playhouse.

Alex was also the 2019 Association of Lighting Production and Design Lumière 2019.

Recent design work includes: Home (Chichester Festival Theatre), Sherlock and the Whitechapel Fiend and  Treasure Island (Barn Theatre, Cirencester), It’s a MotherF**king Pleasure (New York), Kin - The Musical (Teatro Technis) and The White Factory (Marylebone Theatre).

Eleanor Isherwood

Sound Designer

Ellie is a sound designer, composer, actor/musician and synth-pop artist (BYFYN).

Her “quietly ground-breaking” work spans a vast array of forms, from site-specific theatre, to binaural
audio experiences, to musical theatre.

Recent work includes composition and sound design for the new musical The Light Princess.
