Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation & LW Theatres Continue Technical Production Arts Scholarships

8 May 26

We are thrilled to announce the continuation of our technical production scholarship with Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and LW Theatres, two leading names in West End entertainment and philanthropic support for the arts.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation x LW Theatres Scholarship, which was first awarded in 2024, supports one student to complete a two-year FdA in Technical Production at Mountview, covering full tuition fees plus a maintenance bursary. This investment of £48,930 in the future of technical production talent will open doors to exciting backstage roles in live entertainment.
Mountview, Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, and LW Theatres share a commitment to removing barriers to careers in the arts, believing a person’s circumstances should never prevent them from reaching their potential. This continuing partnership builds on our long-standing relationship with the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, who also support scholarships in Musical Theatre and the inaugural Musical Director Launchpad at Mountview. With this support, we can continue to widen access for the next generation of technical production talent even further.

James Owen, Head of People Development at LW Theatres said,
“As we move into the third year of our partnership with Mountview, we are excited to continue investing in the next generation of technical theatre makers. Technical production offers an exciting and varied career, and scholarships play a vital role in removing financial barriers to access.”

Mimi Storey, Mountview student and recipient of the first Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation x LW Theatres Scholarship says,
“Mountview so far has been wonderful, even from the first day when your nerves are through the roof, the tutors just make you feel so welcomed and that little bit more relaxed […] Thank you for giving me the opportunity to study at Mountview, without this scholarship I wouldn’t be able to study here. I wouldn’t have been able to build the amount of skill I have now. I will always be appreciative of what this scholarship has made me achieve so far while studying. Thank you so much for giving me this amazing opportunity.”
