Claudia Kariuki entered the role of Jane Seymour in Six, with fellow grads Ellie Haffenden as Deputy Stage Manager and Caitlin Morgan as Assistant Musical Director.

Scott Paige headed out on tour as Uncle Fester in musical comedy The Addams Family.

The Les Misérables UK Tour also kicked off in November, with Nathania Ong as Eponine, Steven Hall as Grantaire, Barnaby Hughes as Enjolras joined by Rebecca Bolton, Emily Olive Boyd, Rebecca Ferrin, Emily Rose Owens and Dean Read.

Written and performed by Yan Toby-Amisi, Mansa Musa opened at Iris Theatre, exploring what it is to find the route towards hope and belonging by any means necessary.

A whole host of grads featured in the Federation of Drama Schools Dublin Showcase, with performances from Adam Deary, Meghan Bartual Smyth, Meabh Quinn, Christina McGrath, Colm McCready, Aimee McGoldrick, Heather O’Sullivan, Anne McDonagh and Niamh Drumgoole.

Promenade performance Redemption, featuring Shaquille Jack and filled with “raucous energy and emotional integrity” (The Guardian), opened at the Big House and runs until 11 Dec.

Rosanna Harris starred as Barbra Streisand in The Funny Girls at Upstairs at the Gatehouse.

The Drifters Girl opened in the West End, with Mountview grads Tyrone Huntley as Associate Director and Maisey Bawden as Resident Director.

Luke Bayer, Bradley Clarkson and Ash Weir were all announced in the cast of Gatsby at Southwark Playhouse, opening 8 December.

In further casting news, Sarita Gabony was announced in the cast of Our Generation at the National Theatre in February.

Haroun Al Jeddal and Ayesha Patel were revealed in the upcoming London cast of Broken Wings, opening at Charing Cross Theatre from January.

MA Directing grad Denzel Westley-Sanderson was awarded the RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award.

Kitty Scott Claus reached the final of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK.

Brand new play 7 Stages or the Working Title Grief Story by Richard Lund will open at White Bear Theatre 22-23 December.

A Chorus Line, featuring Beth Hinton-Lever and Charlotte Scott, opens at Curve Leicester on 3 Dec.

Sarah Spencer will be heading out on tour within the stage management team of Footloose.
