BMus Open Day and Taster Workshop

Looking for a career in the creative arts that combines piano and performance? Want to make the right decision about your next step?
Join one of our BMus Piano for Theatre Open Days and Taster Workshops to find out more about this innovative world-first course and life as a student at Mountview, where we combine world-class vocational training with a contemporary, industry-leading approach.
Each session will include:
- Welcome Talk from our Principal & CEO, Sally Ann Gritton and members of the teaching team, with the opportunity to ask questions
- A tour of our purpose-built, world-class vibrant Peckham home, including over 20 studios, two professional public theatre spaces, practice rooms, film and TV studios, common room, library, dedicated wellbeing rooms, and more.
- Q&A Session with current students and alumni, where you can ask questions about everything from student life and the training experience to support and wellbeing provision.
- A hands-on taster workshop, allowing to you experience the course content and teaching first-hand
- The opportunity to speak to members of the BMus teaching team, including Nicholas Chave (BMus Course Leader and Joint Head of Music) and Richard Bates (MA/MFA Musical Direction Course Leader and Joint Head of Music)
We encourage attendees to bring their own piano pieces for the taster workshop section of the open day.
Please note that all BMus Open Day and Taster Workshop attendees (including accompanying family members and guardians) must book a space.
