Arts and crafts on your terms. Join us on a journey of creation, where you're encouraged to explore and express yourself freely - leave expectation at the door with our selection of fun prompts and themes.

View Festival is partnering with Outhouse Gallery in Brunswick Park to create a welcoming and supportive artistic environment. Once you have explored the arts and crafts, stick around to admire the art displayed at the gallery and talk to like-minded creatives. 

A PRODUCER’S JOURNEY

DATE: All day, 8-28 June
LOCATION: Mountview Bar

Swing by the bar and take a look at our exhibition celebrating the current MA Creative Producing cohort. Featuring photography, quotes and a selection of work that the cohort have created from September to now, the exhibition highlights the talent and opportunities that our twelve students have experienced this year.

ECLIPSE UNKNOWN: OPEN MIC

An open mic for audiences to share thoughts, pre-written words or short songs in relation to anything that makes them feel something. Providing a platform for reflection in a busy world.

Your Interior/Exterior

At this installation in the atrium of Mountview, we invite you to read, write, draw and share what non-human objects describe you best! Whether you feel like a pool of jelly, a robot or an alien, share the little (or large) creatures that help YOU express yourself!.

INTRODUCTION TO DJ WORKSHOP

DATE: 24 June, 1-2pm
LOCATION: Studio 2

Always wanted to learn to DJ? Learn the basics with Ben Boswell Jones, this workshop provides a hands-on beginner friendly introduction to the fundamentals of DJing. Get ready to make some beats before the second week of View Festival. 

Picnic with a View: 21 June

DATE: 21 June, 2.30-7pm (peak time 4.30-6.30pm)
LOCATION: Green space outside Mountview

Join our community picnic in-between shows - bring lunch and some friends with you!

WHY DO YOU CARE?

DATE: 21 June, 4.15pm

In this interactive, live installation, you’ll see someone silently standing while covered in labels that sound like care but feel like control. You’re invited to rip them off. Real empathy begins beyond what feels easy.

LOVE FROM WITHIN WALL

An installation where people can leave a message acknowledging the non-physical parts of themselves that they love. A space to celebrate who we are, not how we look.

ART ON THE BORDER: A HUMAN LIBRARY

DATE: 28 June, 7.30-8.45pm
LOCATION: Mountview Bar, Atrium & Studio 2

A showcase of stories and visual art created by Migrant artists. The pieces will be showcased together with written down interviews with the creators. The audience will also have the chance to interact with each artist in a Human library format, which will allow them to exchange ideas, worries and listen to their stories as migrant artists in the UK.
 
Following Art on the Border: A Human Library, Experiences will create space for Audience to share their thoughts, reflect on their experiences, and leave a mark on their journey as part of different communities in London and the UK.

Celebrate with us at the end of the festival as we have a final appreciation for the current MA Creative Producing cohort and the team behind View Festival. Come and show your support for our twelve hardworking producing students as we review their shows and the progress they have made as creative producers.
