Alexa Cruickshank is a strategic communications leader with 25 years of experience elevating the brand and visibility of world-class creative and educational institutions. A University of Manchester graduate, Alexa’s career is defined by a commitment to inclusivity and brand excellence.
In 2012, Alexa joined The BRIT School as Director of Communications, leading on brand engagement, managing high level strategic projects, alumni and stakeholder relations, media, PR and marketing. She was a key architect in securing an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2024.
A specialist in high-level corporate partnerships, Alexa has brokered major multi-year funding and sponsorship from Burberry, YouTube Music, Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and Apple —notably orchestrating a visit from CEO Tim Cook to launch a UAL Digital Arts course.
Previously, Alexa was Director of Programmes and Partnerships at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain leading the delivery of audition workshops, training courses and outreach programmes across the UK to seek artistic potential from young performers and technicians and to dismantle barriers to participation.
Alexa has advised for arts organisations including The Yard Theatre Hackney, Wilton’s Music Hall and was a Trustee for three years at St George’s Theatre in her hometown of Great Yarmouth.
