20 Mar 25

We’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursaries have been awarded to Mountview students Django Bevan, who won a one-year contract with the BBC Radio Drama Company, and Jax Guerrero, who received the runner-up prize – a one-off freelance contract with the BBC Radio Drama productions. This marks the second time in three years that Mountview students have won the prestigious Carleton Hobbs Award.

Both Django and Jax are third-year acting students on the Mountview BA (Hons) Performance – Acting course, and their achievements demonstrate how our acting pathway continues to raise the bar. Django is currently playing Harold ‘Mitch’ Mitchell in Mountview’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire and Jax is in production of a short film which screens on Friday 16 May.

Well done and a huge congratulations to you both!
