Our graduates are as busy as ever. Here’s where you can see just a few of them in action this month.

Congratulations to all of our alumni who appeared in What’s On Stage Award-winning shows including Life of Pi featuring Mina Anwar and Tara Divina which took home Best New Play, Mary Poppins featuring Jack North which won Best Musical Revival, Come From Away featuring Alice Fearn, Helen Hobson and Kirsty Malpass which won Best New Musical and Six featuring Hanah Stuart which won The BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical. Further congratulations to Giles Terera, Jordan Luke Gage, Oscar Conlon-Morrey and Hareet Deol who were all shortlisted for awards.

Keep an eye out for Hareet Deol in Casualty takes the lead role in Series 34, Episode 32. Michael Patrick‘s My Left Nut, based on his teenage years in Belfast, is available to watch on BBC iPlayer and will air on BBC1 later this month while Enzo Squillino Jnr will appear as Tony in new series Mister Winner on BBC2.

You can see It’s True, It’s True, It’s True, produced by Ellie Claughton, on BBC iplayer before the production is screened at the National Gallery and then opens at the Barbican at the end of the month. Fellow MA Creative Producing alumni Rebecca Lyle and Leigh Spence are co-producing Not Quite Jerusalem at the Finborough Theatre with Sandi Ballardo as Production Assistant.

Zorro the Musical returns for a Manchester season with Benjamin Purkiss as the masked hero alongside Emma Kingston, Isobel Bates and Jessica Pardoe. Megan Jarvie will perform in Ahrens-ya glad you came!, a concert celebrating shows from lyricist Lynn Ahren Concert at Arts Theatre and Fiona Finsbury is Tosca and Musetta in Opera Undone at the Trafalgar Studios

Anne Odeke and Alfred Clay are both appearing in Royal Shakespeare Company’s new production of The Winter’s Tale. Be Good or Be Gone, a film which features and is co-produced by Declan Mills makes its US premier at the Garden State Film Festival.  Millie Thorne is performing at the VAULT Festival in PIGEONS ON L’EDGE, a comedic birds-eye view of the world of retail, which she co-created.

And grads continue to weave their magic behind the scenes – Shaun Barber has just commenced a four month tour as the Technical Stage Manager/Sound Number One with Oliver Twist produced by Ramps on the Moon and Leeds Playhouse. MA Musical Direction alumni Matt Spalding is the Assistant Musical Director on the UK tour of Curtains.
