A childless baker and his wife embark on a perilous journey through the woods, in search of their happily ever after. This mischievous and profound story, from Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, twists Brothers Grimm fairy tales together in a bewitching musical fantasy.

Performed by our Musical Theatre students to the original award-winning score, their take on this darkly comic masterpiece promises to be a magical and unforgettable experience.

Richard Fitch

Director

Richard’s recent credits include International Associate Director of Back To The Future The Musical (West End/Broadway) and UK Associate Director of MJ The Musical.

For Mountview he has directed Carrie, The Addams Family and Urinetown.

Other Directing/Associate credits include: Bandstand, Legally Blonde, Once on this Island and Top Hat (Arts Educational), Funny Girl (West End/UK tour), Ruthless (Arts Theatre), The Spoils (Trafalgar), Assassins and Barnum (Menier’s Chocolate Factory), Richard III and The Ruling Class (Trafalgar Transformed).

Brady Mould

Musical Director

Brady trained at Mountview in 2015-16, on the Musical Direction course.

Credits include Cats, The Sound of Music, Mamma Mia! (Pattihio Municipal Theatre, Cyprus), West Side Story (Birmingham Hippodrome), The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 ¾ (Ambassadors Theatre) and FAME (UK tour).

Brady is the proud founder and conductor of the Northern Musical Theatre Orchestra. Conducting credits include South Pacific in Concert, Guys and Dolls in Concert and Encore: A Night with West End Stars (UK/Belgium).

Alexzandra Sarmiento

Milo McCarthy

Associate Choreographer

Milo trained at Italia Conti.

Stage credits include Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Hope Mill Theatre), Starry Musical (UK workshop), Birds and Bees (Sheffield Crucible), How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying (Southwark Playhouse), Coram Boy (Chichester Festival Theatre/ The Lowry), Eugene Onegin (Royal Opera House).

TV/Film credits include Principal Boy (short film).

This is their first production as an Associate Choreographer.

Gregor Donnelly

Set Designer

Gregor is an internationally recognised, award-nominated theatre designer, who trained in Set and Costume design at Motley.

Designs include Women on the Verge of HRT (Gaeity Theatre, Dublin/Grand Opera House, Belfast/tour), I Loved Lucy (Arts Theatre/US tour), Rumi (London Coliseum/D’reesha, Qatar), Umm Kulthum and the Golden Era (London Palladium/UAE tour), Stones in his Pockets (Barn Theatre/Belfast Lyric/tour), Broken Wings (Charing Cross Theatre), Rags (Park Theatre), Dirty Dating (Stockport Plaza/Epstein Theatre, Liverpool) and Cat-the Play! Costume Designer

George is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama BA (Hons) Design for Performance course.

Credits include Curtains the Musical, Kiss the Musical and Beauty and the Beast (RCSSD) and Sorry for Your Loss (Kings Head Theatre).
