Following a harrowing shipwreck and an act of cannibalism that shocked the nation, those left behind in the aftermath must navigate sorrow, silence and shocking truths. How do women endure when the world watches only the men? What happens when grief refuses to follow rules?

Alfie Chesney most recently directed a tour of La Traviata with Barefoot Opera. With roots in classical music and theatre, he is now developing work across genres and exploring new forms beyond traditional opera. Alfie is inspired by audience-centred work.
