Julia Locascio

Julia is a theatre and opera director and new work doula. She is Artistic Director of The Waking Theatre, a devising company that enlists big-hearted characters and immersive design to wash audiences in sensation.

As Associate Director: The Last Ship (US national tour), The American Clock (Old Vic, Rachel Chavkin, dir.), Salomé and Dido, Queen of Carthage (RSC), and The Kite Runner (West End).

Julia has been recognised for Excellence in Musical Theatre by The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and was the 2018 SDC Charles Abbott Musical Theatre Fellow. BFA NYU Tisch, MFA Birkbeck.
