“What a lovely way to be
A post-apocalyptically
Musical society
We’re riding along…”

When the Earth is no longer habitable, humanity must find a new home in a neighbouring solar system. People are organised into groups and evacuated according to their importance to society – the musicians are evacuated last.

Mockingbird 1, created by The Daywalkers Collective and adapted specifically for our Actor Musicianship cohort with an original score, blends sci-fi and folk to ask a bold question: does art need humanity?
