Alan is an actor, director, dramaturg and acting coach, currently Head of Acting at Mountview and Fellow of Advance HE. He has taught for Mountview, The Urdang Academy, London Studio Centre, CPA and City Academy. He worked within the Learning & Education department at The Australian Museum, Sydney.
Alan trained as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts winning the Peter Coxhead Scholarship in 2005. As an actor and director, he has worked in television for Marvel Studios, and in theatre in London’s West End, The National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Theatre-On-The-Fly at Chichester Festival, Trafalgar Studios, Edinburgh, Perfect Pitch, Red Rose Chain as well as regional UK and international theatre including for The English Theatre in Frankfurt, The Lowry, Les Enfants Terribles, The Vaults, The Sydney Theatre Festival, Melbourne Arts Centre, Adelaide Festival Centre and Hong Kong Arts.
