In this brand new, pop-song-packed adaptation of the classic novel, you are given the chance to help our Actor-Musicianship students perform all the iconic scenes and discover the true meaning of ‘there’s no place like home’.

Expect all your favourite bits from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz – but as you’ve never seen them before!

Recommended for ages 7+

Alan Pearson

Director

Alan is currently Co-Head of Acting at Mountview.

As a director, actor, teacher and dramaturg, his work has taken him to London’s West End, National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Theatre-on-the-Fly at Chichester Festival, Trafalgar Studios, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Sydney Theatre Company, Adelaide Festival, Melbourne Theatre Company, Kilworth House, as well as City Academy, Les Enfants Terribles, Urdang Academy, Red Rose Chain, NYT, London Studio Centre, CPA Studios and Perfect Pitch.

Nicholas Chave

Musical Director

Nicholas is the Head of Music at Mountview. He trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and Mountview in Musical Direction.

Musical direction credits for Mountview include: Disney's The Little Mermaid, Carrie, Dogfight, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, as well as multiple showcases for Musical Theatre and Actor Musicianship students.

He has been Musical Supervisor for Hertford Theatre’s annual pantomime for over seven years with shows including The Snow Queen,The Astonishing Adventures of Pinocchio and Rapunzel, and has previously been Musical Director for multiple productions with the National Youth Music Theatre.

Rhyannon Richardson

Set and Costume Designer

Rhyannon has been working in professional theatre for over 20 years, both as a set and costume designer and as a maker.

Much of her work has been with community groups, theatre in education and drama schools, but she has also designed for a wide range of both small and large scale productions and tours, including the Chester Mystery Plays.

She designs for events, festivals and theme parks, and works as a mural artist and illustrator.

She is also Design Facilitator here at Mountview.

Alex Musgrave

Lighting Designer

Alex has been nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Lighting Design for You are Here (Southwark Playhouse).

Alex was the recipient of the Association of Lighting Designers Lumiere Scheme.

Most recent design work includes: Home (Chichester Festival Theatre), The White Factory (Marylebone Theare), Private Lives (The Barn Theatre, Cirencester), The Cunning Little Vixen (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire), Rapunzel (Watermill Theatre), Anyone Can Whistle and You Are Here (Southwark Playhouse), Oppenheimer (Mountview), King Charles III and Let The Right One In (ArtsEd).

Chris Murray

Sound Designer

Chris is a sound designer of musicals and plays.

His work includes: From Here to Eternity, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Love Letters, Ruff Tuff Cream Puff Estate Agency, The Great Murder Mystery, The Hired Man, and many more.

As an associate designer, he’s worked on international projects such as Kam Yama Kam and Miranda.

Previously Head of Sound at Theatre Royal Stratford East, Chris holds a degree in Sound, Light, and Live Event Technology from the University of Derby.
