Matthew is a graduate from the University of York with a BA (Hons) in Music, winning the David Blake Prize at the end of his third year.
At university he specialised in conducting, orchestration and piano accompaniment. Credits as Musical Director include 42nd Street, Barnum, A Chorus Line and Singin’ in the Rain. At Mountview, he has assisted Phil Bateman on Parade and Steve Moss on Cabaret.
