A Portrait of a Strong Woman

1 - 9 Jun

Written and performed by Yemi Yohannes
Director Precious Bolarinwa
Producer Gift Onomor

What makes a black woman strong? Is it being denied the option of weakness? Being robbed of comfort? Only being made to feel valuable when she’s excellent? Finally fatigued, this young woman is forced to examine her experiences. Deep within the pseudo-apologies and exaggerated compliments lies the answer.

Duration: 45 minutes

Features strong language, loud noises, racism and grief.
