Student Life

Mountview provides the highest quality training for actors, directors, producers, and theatre production artists and has a strong commitment to the specialised requirements of TV, film and radio. We’ll prepare you for the realities and practicalities of the industry.

We offer intensive, practical training with all full-time students receiving over 30 hours of contact teaching each week, 36 weeks per year. Teaching is carried out in in small groups of up to 18 students who all also receive regular one-to-one sessions with personal tutors and specialist practitioners.

Courses are structured to give you a thorough grounding in all aspects of your chosen field. They are validated by University of East Anglia (UEA) and Trinity College London. Mountview is a member of the Federation of Drama Schools and is accredited by CDET (Council for Dance and Drama Training). Our most recent OFSTED inspection rated training Outstanding.

You will be trained to develop a high level of skills which will bring thought, energy and commitment to your professional work, giving you the tools to succeed in a competitive industry.

You will work not only with Mountview’s experienced teaching staff but also with current theatre practitioners: directors, set designers, lighting and sound designers, choreographers, musical directors, actors and stage managers. As well as keeping you in touch with current professional practice, this provides valuable contacts on completion of the course. You will be additionally supported by our Inudstry Liaison to build links with agents, casting directors and other professionals.
