Sterre trained at the Inholland Conservatoire in the Netherlands and gained an MA Practice of Voice and Singing with Distinction from the Guildford School of Acting. She has worked internationally as a voice tutor and director at drama schools in South Korea, Romania and Costa Rica, at theatre festivals in Mexico, Bulgaria and Romania and at the Central School of Speech and Drama and the Guildford School of Acting. Sterre performed most recently with Fevered Sleep, Filament Theatre and in As You Like It at the National Theatre. She has coached productions for the Guildford Shakespeare Company and has worked on an annual Shakespeare exchange project in rural Bulgaria for the past eight years.
Sterre is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and co-artistic director of State of Flux Theatre.
