Breaking Down Barriers
Thanks to supporters like you we have been able to make professional training more accessible to students from lower income and diverse backgrounds, through the Scholarship Fund and the Judi Dench Fund for Access to Drama Training. These initiatives support hundreds of aspiring creatives every year by breaking down financial barriers and creating a secure, welfare-focused environment for students to thrive.
Emergency Support
The Judi Dench Fund has distributed £113,324 in emergency grants, removing barriers that threaten a student's training, welfare, or health.Student Welfare
The Student Welfare Team and Student Welfare Manager have helped 628 students, arranging 900 hours of free counselling in 2024/25 alone.Scholarship Fund
In 2024/25, we awarded over £280,000 in tailored, needs-based scholarships to 90 students. Scholarships created pathways to performance, production arts, and creative practice training at Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.Commitment to Community
Our Participation team create opportunities for young people, community groups, and local artists to advance their skills and connect in a supportive, inspiring environment. In 24/25 we welcomed participants from 17 of Southwark’s 23 wards.
Outreach
This year alone, we have provided schools, community groups, and local residents with over £14,000 worth of free and discounted tickets to our shows.Community Engagement
Over the past three years we've donated 136 days of free studio space so artists, practitioners, and local residents can explore their creativity together.GENERATION NEXT
Our flagship community participation programme brings workshops in Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre and more to the young people of Peckham, Southwark, and beyond. Sessions help participants grow in confidence, make new friends, develop core fusion skills, and explore pathways into the arts.
Bursaries
We’ve awarded over £127,000 to young Southwark residents through the Southwark Bursary Scheme ensuring finance is never a barrier to accessing the arts. Nearly 70% of participants receive bursaries, 50% of them living in Peckham.Skills
100% of participants, parents / carers, and workshop leaders report improvements in skills like communication, confidence and creativity, and participants have gone into careers ranging from mechanical engineer to West End performer.Trailblazers
Mountview has an innovative, forward-thinking approach, providing exceptional vocational training for the next generation of performers, production artists and practitioners.
Mountview alumni are making an impact worldwide. You’ll find them throughout the West End and Broadway; across TV, film, and streaming platforms; working as production artists, creatives, and performers; and inspiring the next generation through community and education roles. Our training is also a launchpad into careers in teaching, business and arts leadership.
Global Reach
Last year, our alumni performed in over 276 unique productions in the West End, on Broadway, on national and international tours, on cruises and in theatres in London, New York, Sydney, and Beijing.Extraordinary Range
