MA/MFA Creative Practice Online Q&A
22 Apr
Looking to launch a career in writing, directing or producing, develop your skills, meet creative collaborators, or expand your industry network? Our Creative Practice Online Q&A is the perfect opportunity to find out more about Mountview’s MA/MFA Creative Practice courses.
Mountview is currently the only UK drama school to offer Directing, Dramatic Writing and Producing as three distinct, specialised pathways within a single, unified Creative Practice MA framework. The courses are designed for multi-hyphenate practitioners who are excited by collaboration and meeting the demands of the twenty-first century creative industries.
By bringing directors, writers and producers into one ecosystem, the courses mirror the professional world by fostering creative partnerships through shared engagement with modes of collaboration, creative enterprise, dramatic structures and critical contexts.
During the Online Q&A you will hear directly from our MA Creative Practice team, find out about the three pathway options, chat to current students, be encouraged to ask questions, and discover what it’s like to pursue postgraduate training at Mountview.
Speakers will include:
-
Dawn Ingleson – Joint MA/MFA Creative Practice course leader (former National Theatre creative producer)
-
Hamish Pirie – Joint MA/MFA Creative Practice course leader (directing credits include work at Royal Court, Donmar Warehouse, Paines Plough and Traverse Theatre)
-
Roy Williams – Distinguished Visiting Artist for MA/MFA Creative Practice (writing credits include Death of England: The Plays, National Theatre; The Lonely Londoners, Kiln and Jermyn Street Theatre; Sucker Punch, Royal Court, Olivier Award nomination).
You will also be given the opportunity to speak to current students on all three pathways.
