“I took a weedy little toerag as a man of importance!”

When a British businessman is accidentally identified as a UN inspector in an incredibly corrupt dictatorship, chaos erupts. As the impostor plays along and revels in newly found power, panic spreads through the presidential palace, with ministers desperately trying to cover up their illicit, greed-fuelled dealings.

This riotous, sharp and ridiculous farce by David Farr is an updated version of Nikolai Gogol’s renowned satire The Government Inspector, performed with biting wit and relentless energy by our Acting students.

Suitable for ages 16+

This production features flashing and pulsing lights, swearing, weapons, a gunshot sound, human mutilation, heart attack, medical equipment and themes of threat.

Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 15-min interval

An amateur production by arrangement with Curtis Brown.
