Dawn Ingleson - Course Leader, MA/MFA Creative Practice

Dawn is an established Arts Producer & Project Manager.  She worked for the National Theatre as a creative producer for over 10 years, commissioning playwrights including Roy Williams, Rebecca Lenkiewicz and Leo Butler, and has toured British Theatre in Education (TIE) projects to Setagaya Public Theatre, Tokyo.  She is an experienced Arts practitioner and educator, mentor, theatre director, pastoral lead and a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

From working in a number of regional theatres and art centres (Leicester Haymarket, New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Salisbury Playhouse, Warwick Arts Centre), producing many tours to schools and throughout the U.K. mid-scale theatre circuit, she then worked in Higher Education (H.E.).  Throughout her time teaching and course leading in H.E., she has continued to produce student theatre company’s seasons of work with professional creative teams. 

She has been Course Director on an undergraduate degree she wrote for London South Bank University, Drama and Applied Theatre and she was also Course Leader for the Acting and Performance undergraduate degree course (LSBU).  She supervised the MA in Creative Performance Practice. 

In 2025, her book, Stanislavsky and Mindfulness was published by Routledge.  She started her time at Mountview as the interim Course Leader for MA Creative Producing and is now the joint Course Leader for MA Creative Practice.
