Grit was raised in the north of Germany where she first became involved with her regional theatre and worked in various production departments. Grit holds a BA in Scenic Arts and an MA in Theatre Practices and is pursuing a research degree which focuses on British nineteenth century scene painting.
As a scenic artist Grit has freelanced in London theatres and places of work include the National Theatre, Young Vic, Royal Court as well as work with production companies such as Punchdrunk or the Synergy Theatre Project.
Within education Grit has taught at East 15 Acting School, Rose Bruford College and CFPTS (Paris). As co-leader Grit is part of an annual technical theatre work shop held at DAMU (Prague).
