AUDITIONS
Mountview is home to students from all over the world and is proud to be a vibrant, international community. Our team provides support for the transition to life and study in the UK.
Although many courses offer an in-person first-round audition or interview, international students have the option of an online equivalent. For full details about auditions and interviews, please click here.
"While studying in a different country can feel daunting, Mountview offers an incredible support system that ensures international students always feel welcomed and valued. STUDENT VISAS
Unless you are a UK or Irish citizen, you will normally need a Student visa to study in the UK. Applications must be made online at GOV.UK and students can apply up to six months before their course starts. Further information on applying for a Student visa can be found on the UK Government website.
If you will require a study visa, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible. The visa application process can take several weeks or even months depending on individual circumstances and the time of year. We advise submitting your application at least two months before your course start date to ensure there is sufficient time to receive a visa decision. Applying early will help avoid any delays that may impact your ability to start the course on time.
Mountview can never guarantee a student will be successful in securing a student visa, however we will do our best to support you through the process. If you have any questions on the process, please email admissions@mountview.org.uk
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
When applying for a student visa, you may need to prove your knowledge of English by passing a secure English language test (SELT). This must be demonstrated by passing a Secure English Language Test (SELT) from an approved provider or having a GCSE, A level, Scottish National Qualification level 4 or 5, Scottish Higher or Advanced Higher in English, gained through study at a UK school that they began when they were under 18.
Please find the list of approved tests below:
If you are in the UK, you can only take a SELT with one of the following providers:
- LanguageCert
- Pearson
- Trinity College London
- IELTS SELT Consortium
If you are outside of the UK, you can only take a SELT with one of the following providers:
- LanguageCert
- Pearson
- PSI Services (UK) Ltd – Skills for English (UKVI)
- IELTS SELT Consortium
For more information on language requirements related to securing a visa, please visit the UK Government Website.
FEES AND FUNDING
Course fee rates for UK and Republic of Ireland residents and for international students are published on the relevant course page of this website. EU students who do not hold UK pre-settled or settled status will be charged the international fee rate.
Applicants are required to have a clear idea of how they would finance their training at Mountview prior to attending an audition. We strongly advise applicants to research funding options available to them as soon as possible should they wish to pursue training in the UK.
The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) is able to provide information and advice on visa and funding options for international students studying in the UK.
Please note that at this stage Mountview does not currently accept Federal Student Aid funding.
Any international applicants who have questions regarding applications, eligibility for study and securing a Visa for study should contact admissions@mountview.org.uk
