MA Theatre for Community and Education - Multi-faith Intergenerational Workshop

Our MA Theatre for Community and Education students had a brilliant time developing their facilitation skills for multi-faith and intergenerational spaces in a workshop in October. Throughout their course, the students are guided to develop skills in facilitating and teaching through workshops with visiting practitioners.

Together, students considered possibilities for creating more accessible workshops, deepening understanding of beliefs and holding space for interfaith dialogue.

“This was a thought-provoking exploration of how to facilitate creatively in multi-faith and intergenerational settings. The day consisted of practical exercises, experience-sharing and even some devising and performances. Crucially, it was imbued with self and group-reflection and celebrated fostering possibilities for connection and collaboration in an increasingly fragmented world.”  – Vanessa Bunn, second year MA student

The students want to send a huge thank you to session leader and applied theatre practitioner Andrea Tuijten (and to baby Jaxx who reminded them how to play, rest and simply be!)
