Richard has been Music Director on over 60 shows, highlights include: Pacific Overtures (Broadway World Award nominated Best Music Direction), Aspects of Love (30th anniversary revival), See What I Wanna See (UK premiere) and The Remains of the Day Musical (world premiere), as well as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and She Loves Me (Mountview).

He has conducted Victor/ Victoria, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Taxi Driver for cinema with live orchestras.

He also led his own big band between 2010 and 2019.

Richard is Joint Head of Music and Course Leader of MA & MFA Music Direction at Mountview.

He studied Music at Cambridge University.
