Special thanks to Thalia Droussioti for sharing her story and personal experiences.

An immigrant struts from flat-footed outsider to high-heeled status… until a drag queen and an actor stiletto-stampede her story, thrift-flipping it into an ill-fitting cabaret couture. In a Britain of platform politics, who has the right to tell your story if they haven’t walked a mile in your shoes?

ALSO LOOK OUT FOR: Walk a Mile in My Shoes – A platform of Peckham’s favourite business owners – an exhibition to explore their experiences of immigration, fashion, and identity. More information to be announced shortly.

Show duration: 70 mins
Content warnings: Racism, xenophobia, microaggressions, classism, strong language, physical violence, audience interaction, references to drugs, reference to teenage pregnancy, sexual content.
